All,

The following guidance is in line w/ a special request from the OS/Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (ASAM).

The subject meeting will be held this calendar year in San Fransisco, CA, November 15-19, 2003. The early registration deadline for APHA is September 5, 2003.

Thus, we request that you take the following actions:

1) You are to submit the projected number of attendees from your IC to include, a) name; b) title; and c) role at the event.

This includes a negative response.

2) You are to ensure that all prospective attendees register for this meeting not later than the September 5, 2003 early registration deadline.

All attendance information is to be emailed to Lori Barrack in the LAE format by NOT LATER THAN NOON, MONDAY, AUGUST 25. You are also to cc me and Ken Stith.

Please be aware that the ASAM is examining the total HHS participation at this event and it's quite possible they will limit the numbers based on the initial projected attendance data.

Again, at this time, you are stongly encouraged to register by the September 5 deadline in an effort to avoid incurrence of additional costs.
