The Division of Reimbursable Activity and Collections is responsible for activities such as debt collection, royalty receipts from licensees and payments to inventors, inter-governmental collections and payments, accounting for gift fund donations to the NIH ICs, Fellowship payments, and accounting for Cooperative and Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)

The Reimbursable Activity Branch (RAB) provides accounting services for both intramural and extramural programs of the NIH; supporting all grant accounting needs, including financial reporting, interface with the Payment Management System (PMS) and Center for Scientific Review systems (CSR). Additionally the RAB provides support in relation to interagency agreements (IAAs) via accounts receivable and accounts payable with other federal agencies.

Collections Branch​

The Collections Branch (CB) provides accounting services for both intramural and extramural programs of the NIH, supporting all Fellowship, Royalty, Gift Funds, Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) accounting needs, including financial reporting interfacing specifically with the NIH Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) and NIH Institutes and Centers.

The CB monitors and processes Royalty Payments to Inventors, and reconciles data between OTT and OFM systems, reviews and interprets new and amended regulatory issuance by the Treasury, OMB, and other agencies, and collaborates and coordinates all activities with other OFM components, such as the Division of Central Services Business Operations, Division of Financial Reporting and Reimbursable Activity Branch.
